 روزهای تعطیل گالری: شنبه ها

«جای دیگر» بخشی از تأملی کم و بیش پنج ساله در فضاهایی واقعی و در عین حال ذهنی است. ذهنی، چرا که تلاش برای بازنمایی مناظر موجود یا بر پایه‌ی عکس‌ها و اتودهای مشخص از این مناظر نیستند؛ و واقعی، چون گویی از سال‌های دور، همواره در برابر چشمانم بوده‌اند. نقاشی برای من میلی همیشگی است و کشا کش با آن، گاه نتیجه‌ای دارد - مثل آنچه در این مجموعه به نمایش گذاشته‌ام - و گاه گویی تا ابد پایانی برایش نیست.

The Other Place

“The other place” is a part of approximately five years of contemplation about places as much real as imagined. Imagined, because they are not efforts to reproduce existing landscapes or based on photos and sketches of those landscapes, yet they come from a place whithin, in which they exist.
Painting for me is a perpetual desire and struggling with that desire, at times has an outcome - such as the collection exhibited here - and, now and then it seems as if there is no end to it.
